Botev Plovdiv deserved a big win in the first friendly game of the mid-season preparation session. The Canaries beat 4-0 Septemvri Simitli - sixth in the Western "B" group and - just like Botev - a quarterfinalist in the Bulgarian Cup. All the new players, with the exception of Marian Ognyanov, took part in the game. One of them - Dean Hristov scored the first goal. In the 34th minute of the first half, Petar Atanasov scored for 2-0. The second half started with a new squad. Again the yellow-black scored two goals - this time Irfan Yuseinov netted both of them.
