243 minutes for the national players

Veselin Minev, Boban Grncharov and Todor Nedelev - the three national players played 243 minutes combined in the FIFA Qualification stages. The Bulgarian Veselin Minev(pictured above, photo: Sportal.bg) played 63 minutes and received an yellow card in the 6-0 win against Malta in Sofia. He stayed for full 90 minutes on the pitch in Copenhagen in the 1-1 draw versus Denmark. The other Bulgarian national - Todor Nedelev was called and traveled with the team, but couldn't make his debute for the A-team. Bulgaria is second in the qualification group, 3 points behind Italy, and 2 points ahead of Czech Republic.

Three Botev Plovdiv players leave the squad to play for their national teams. Two of them - Todor Nedelev(above, in the left) and Veselin Minev are already with the Bulgarian team. Minev already has over 10 games with the white-green-red shirt, but the young striker can make his debut for male team, after few games for U-21 team. Bulgaria will play against Malta on March 22nd, and Denmark on 26th.

Botev Plovdiv is getting closer to the leaders in the Championship after a 2-1 win against the strong team of Chernomorets Bourgas. Under the pouring rain, Vander Vieira and Ivan Cvetkov scored to beautiful goals in the second half to secure the win.

Botev Plovdiv defeated Levski Sofia 2-0 for the first time in 16 years. Boban Grncharov in 28th minute scored the first goal with a header. The Yellow-Blacks missed few good opportunities to score another goal in the first half, but again Grncharov, Nedelev and Vander Vieira were not precise in the final shot. Levski on the other hand had only one good chance by Prochazka, whose 30-meter shot went inches by the Stachoviak's post. This was the only good opportunity by the visitors for the whole game.

Botev Plovdiv and Slavia Sofia finished 2-2 in the first game of the summer half of the Bulgarian championship. Slavia, playing at their home ground, scored first with an early goal by Galin Ivanov. Vander Viera equalized in the 21st minute. Botev took the lead after a goal in the 54th minute by Marian Ognyanov(pictured above). Only 3 minutes later Slavia equalized with a goal by Livramento.
